Planned electrical maintenance

Context

Reactive electrical spend is expensive because it is unplanned. A maintenance schedule converts unpredictable failures into scheduled visits with known scope: inspect, measure, record, correct small defects before they become outages.

Signs that assessment may be needed

• 02No asset register or maintenance history for electrical plant
• 03Ageing distribution equipment carrying critical load
• 04Multiple sites with inconsistent standards and records

None of the above should be investigated by opening equipment, testing live circuits or resetting protective devices repeatedly. If any of it involves heat, smoke, water or a shock, read the safety guidance before anything else.
