Industrial
Downtime is the unit of measurement.
On a production site the electrical scope is bounded by the outage window, the permit and the isolation procedure. Work is planned so the line runs again at the end of the shift, and so the next person can read what changed.
- Governed by
- Site permit-to-work and isolation procedure
- Planned around
- Agreed shutdown and outage windows
- Delivered with
- Labelling, schedules and reinstatement records

Motor control centre — plant distribution
Capability
Scope we take on, stated plainly.
- Distribution
- Three-phase sub-mains, distribution boards, isolators and local switching for plant and machinery.
- Motor control
- Motor control centre work, starters, drive installation and associated control wiring.
- Machine connection
- Power connection, local isolation and emergency stop circuit wiring to equipment supplier requirements.
- Containment
- Heavy-duty tray, ladder, trunking and conduit systems set out to survive the environment.
- Shutdown works
- Scoped works executed inside agreed outage windows with documented isolation and reinstatement.
- Records
- Labelling, schedules and as-installed documentation so future maintenance is not archaeology.
High-voltage apparatus, network-side infrastructure and equipment manufacturer commissioning sit outside this scope. Where a project needs them, we identify it early rather than absorbing it silently.

Control work
Undocumented control changes cost more than they save.
A modification made at 2am without a drawing update becomes the reason a future fault takes a day instead of an hour. Control alterations are marked up, labelled and handed back as records, because the value of the work is only realised the next time something stops.
